Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Tomorrow, we are farewelling Cynthia Peat (as mentioned in a post earlier this term).  Cynthia has been a long standing member of staff and will be missed by not only her colleagues but children and families alike.  Her knowledge and expertise in the field of ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) is extensive and I would like to thank her again for the positive impact she has had on so many of our children during her time here.  On behalf of our whole community, I wish Cynthia all the best for the future, wherever that may take her.

I am pleased to also be able to announce that we have appointed Raupo Fleet, as the teacher to start our next Year 0/1 class, made up of children from the Rm 12 reception class. Raupo is a very experienced practitioner and currently manages an early childhood centre.  We are very pleased that she wanted to experience the Pimary level again, and know that she will be a great addition to our staff.  Raupo has been in to meet her children already, but will officially start Day 1 Term 3, when she will open Room 22.

Kind regards
Janine
