Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

What a great day we had yesterday at our Family Fun Fiesta. The weather was amazing, especially after the horrible day we had on Saturday, and that we did not have to cancel due to a change in COVID levels.

The children and families who I spoke to yesterday, were very positive about the Fiesta and it was great also to see so many Teachers, Leadership Team and BOT Chair getting into the spirit of the day by getting dunked, and to all staff who helped out on different stalls, or behind the scenes.

I would like to give an enormous thank you to Andrew and Nicola Thompson for the amazing job they did coordinating this event for us along with Tina Olsen, Kirstin Fleming, Kirsten Henderson, Summer Haycock, Colette Nicholson, Megan Bason, Suzanne Hardy, Erin Lingard and Janet Glover. Without them and their enthusiasm, as well as their unwavering commitment to ensure that our children could have a day to enjoy, this ‘Fiesta’ would never have eventuated.

This was further supported by our sponsors ‘Auckland City Toyota – Greenlane’, ‘Barfoot and Thompson’ (Epsom & Royal Oak), ‘Pak n Save – Royal Oak’, ‘Greenlane Medical Specialists’, ‘Kennards Hire’ and ‘Joe’s Garage’,  whose generosity gave us the ability to get this event up and running.  Additional thanks also to all the stallholders and their helpers who gave up their time to help out on Saturday and or Sunday.  We would like to thank each and every one of you, as your support of events like these is essential and is what makes us the community we are.

This event raised an unexpected $40,559 on the day – thank you everyone !

So much to choose from…. (thank you bakers)

That’s what happens if you dunk the Associate Principal

Even the Principal is not safe – Thanks to Mrs Wood!

Wonderful weather and a wonderful day!
