We are so proud of our Kids Lit Quiz Team!
Four of our Year 6 students, Amber A, Sophia D, Toby K and Josephine N, took part in the Auckland Regional Kids Lit Quiz competition a couple of weeks ago and came away with a first in the Years 5/6 category. During the three hour quiz, the children answered 100 questions from every sort of fiction book imaginable, from fairytales to Harry Potter. They were competing against mostly Year 7/8 teams, and they did extremely well with their shared knowledge and love of books. Thanks to our fantastic Librarian Nicki Boswell, for all her hard work preparing you for the competition.
I have heard some of the questions were extremely challenging, including some that asked the year that certain books were published, so it shows how talented this group is. Well done to each of you!!!
