Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.
Last week, Max, Spencer, Antonio, Rory, Tim and Angelo from R28 and Maskill from R27  participated in the EPro8 Challenge – a nationwide engineering competition. Our students were posed a variety of challenges and had to construct outcomes that were ‘fit for purpose’. Our teams competed to create a fire truck and bed with a working alarm clock, using the available materials.
This heat at St Michael’s School in Remuera saw us compete against 11 other schools from Central Auckland. I was impressed with our teams managing to place fifth and seventh in amongst the 14 teams. This will be good practice for next year, as many of our children were Year 5’s.  A special thank you to Marcus Collins for organising these teams for us.
