Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

On Tuesday the 23 March, we had our Y5/6 swimming team represent us at the Remuera Swimming Zones.  I am very proud to be able to announce that we were 2nd overall out of the 18 schools competing. Another piece of exciting news is that we won the ‘Field Cup’.  This is a very prestigious cup that is swum for by the fastest four swimmers from each school in a 4x25m relay.  It was a close race with only one second separating Ellie, Olivia, Daniel and Caden, and the team from St Cuthberts School.

The cup itself is 57 years old, and the last time CPDS won this cup was approximately 10 years ago.

Congratulations to all our team and thanks to Rowena Seko and Paul Campbell. for training them.  Thanks also to all the parents and extended families who have been such a support to this team leading up to, and during the event.
                                                               .    .
Well done- Go CPDS!!!!
