Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Now we have arrived at the end of our first week back, I would like to thank all our parents (and other family members who have dropped off and picked up children) for the wonderful support you have given us during our return to school this week. We have approximately 93 % of all our children back onsite and we are hoping these numbers will continue to grow as we move into our second week. It has been a fantastic 5 days and we have found the children to be really settled. Now our systems are established, we feel it is time to make some small changes to ‘Drop Off and Pick Up’ times starting Monday next week.
Drop Off – Gates will open at 8.20am and close at 9.05am instead of 9.15am. Adults who still wish to enter our site will need to continue to sign in using our COVID-19 sign in.
Pick Up – Parents may pick up children from 2.45pm onwards from the tennis court gate only. To enter adults will still need to continue to sign in using our COVID-19 sign in. At 3pm the Wheturangi gate will then also open. No children will leave the school grounds before 3pm unless they have a parent with them. All children need to be picked up by 3.15pm or else they are expected to be signed into ‘After School Care’.
Please note the playgrounds will continue to be closed after 2.45pm, and we ask parents to pick up and leave immediately, so we can continue the good flow in the carpark we have achieved most days to date.
It has been a long week for our children as they re-adjust to normal school hours, and many of them may be extra tired moving into the weekend, however, they will be able to recharge their batteries so they are ready for school again on Monday.
