Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

As we near the end of the year, I would like to recognise and thank the teachers who will not be returning to us, next year.

Teachers join us throughout the year to start up new junior classes and as these will take time to grow again in 2020 the following teachers will not start back with us in February next year. I would like to thank Thyra Compton, Vicki Hartstonge, Pam Claxton, Emily Strickett and Lucille Wiltshire for all their commitment this year.  We appreciate all you have done for our beginning students and wish you well, and you never know, we may hopefully see some of you back again in the future.

In addition, I also would like to thank Diana Hayman who has run our ‘Link’ programmes for a number of years in a part time capacity.  Diana has forged a close relationship with a number of families and their children during her time here and I know they will miss her greatly. Thank you Diana for all your hard work with this group.

Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to Marcus Collins and Erin Hooper, who I have mentioned in a previous post.  I know you will both be able to challenge your new schools in Wellington and Kerikeri respectively with some forward thinking practices.

Earlier today the Principals of our Community of Schools group passed on their appreciation to Erin for all her hard work over the past three years in her role as an ‘Across School Leader’.  I would like to now add my personal thanks to Erin for all the valuable work she has done for our school especially, as well as the other schools in our community.

Kind regards
Janine
