Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Last Tuesday 19 March, our Y5 and Y6 Swim Team competed in the Zones Swimming Competition. We had a very successful day coming 3rd overall out of 18 schools. Well done to our girls who were placed 2nd overall and our boys who were placed 3rd overall.

 A special mention to:
  • Peter S – 2nd Year 5 Boys 25m Backstroke, 3rd Year 5 Boys 25m Breastroke and 3rd Year 5 Boys 50m Freestyle
  • Rebecca Z -1st Year 5 Girls 25m Breastroke and 2nd Year 5 Girls 50m Freestyle
  • Leah C – 3rd Year 6 Girls 25m Breastroke and 2nd Year 6 Girls 50m Freestyle
  • Yen Chang L – 1st Year 6 Boys 25m Backstroke and 3rd Year 6 Boys 50m Freestyle

In the team events we we placed:

3rd Year 5 Boys 4×25 Freestyle Relay

2nd Year 6 Girls 4×25 Freestyle Relay

3rd Year 6 Boys 4×25 Freestyle Relay

2nd Open Girls 4×25 Medley Relay

Thanks to all those parents who supported our representative swimming team last week, including those who assisted with transport.  Thanks also to Paul and Sue for their training of this squad. Obviously all the hard work paid off. We are proud of each and every one of you who did such a great job representing our school.
