Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

It is hard to believe we are already half way through the term, and that there is only 4 weeks to go until the fair.  I know that the Fair group has been working really hard to be as creative as possible viewing all aspects of the fair with fresh eyes, and last week’s newsletter started promoting one of those changes with the introduction of a new raffle process, again with great prizes on offer.  A huge thank you to all those already working hard behind the scenes to make this another great fair. It is great to see so many parents signing up on the volunteer software.  Please let us know if you encounter any technical problems, as we want to ensure you all have a positive experience with this new process.

Welcome Aimee and All the Best Jessamy

I have great pleasure in welcoming Aimee Coxhead to our teaching team.  Aimee is taking over as teacher in Room 7, as Jessamy Barnes prepares to leave to have her baby soon.  Jessamy will be with us hopefully for a couple more weeks, however, as this timeline may change, we will be utilising Jessamy’s skills in other ways outside the classroom. I know I speak for you all when I wish Jessamy and Sol all the best for their very exciting new adventure as first time parents.

Year 5 and 6 Swimming

Well done to all our Year Five children who took part in their swimming competition last Monday and all the best to the Year 6 children who will be competing tomorrow.  It is great to see children trying their hardest regardless of their ability level.  I am sure Mr Campbell will be publishing the winners soon after the completion of tomorrow’s competition.  A huge thank you to Paul and the other staff, as well as parents who have or will be assisting with these two events.

Congratulations to Room 12- Mufti Day Donation Winners

Well done to the children in Room 12, who brought in the most donations on Mufti Day.  Their prize of an ice-block each was delivered today and was received well by all.
