Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Just as the Year 5 children round off a couple of busy weeks, our Year 6s start a couple of busy weeks themselves.  On Wednesday night, our Year 6 choir represented us at an outstanding performance at the Town Hall and showed us again just how many talented children we have at our school.  The massed choir was very impressive and it was an extra special night as we were also treated to a piece ‘Tarantella Opus 23’ played by the festival orchestra with our very own Jifei S, performing a major solo part on the cello.  Another special moment was seeing one of our ex-pupils Ian C as the lead violinist in this orchestra.  Again, I would like to thank Linda Yu for all her hard work leading up to last night especially as she has been multi-tasking both Y5 and Y6 choirs to ensure they were ready to perform on the public stage one night after the other. Well done Linda and our Year 6 choir.  It was a great show and all the teachers and parents there last night were really proud of you all!!
