As we approach the end of the term, I have an upcoming staff change to announce.
Debbie Oats (R7) has recently won a position with ‘Te Aho Te Kura Pounamu- The NZ Correspondence School. Although we are sad to see Debbie go at the end of the term, this opportunity is a change of direction and offers her a wonderful new challenge in her teaching career. On behalf of our community and staff, I would like to thank Debbie for her service to the school over the past six years and wish her all the best. I am sure she will visit us from time to time and I know she has already arranged to be able to attend our end of year ‘Flag Day’.
I am pleased to be able to announce that we have already secured a teacher to start day one next term, which is quite a feat in this current period of teacher shortage in Auckland. Rebecca Boyes who was with us in 2016, is returning from her overseas experience and has accepted the position through to the end of the year.
