With the horrific events that are unfolding in Christchurch tonight, I know you will all join me when I express my shock and disbelief with what has happened and that our collective thoughts are with all our Muslim families, who must be really hurting tonight. It is times like this that reinforce how important two of our school values are i.e.’Diversity and Compassion’, and the responsibility we all have in ensuring we truly live the meaning behind them.
I always believe that our children are our future and in this very dark day for New Zealand, I am completely committed that our children at CPDS will always know the importance of accepting all others regardless of any similarities or differences.
More than any other time it is important that we come together and promote what is right!!!!!
Please give your children an extra cuddle for me this weekend!
