Over the years we have been able to provide a number of special facilities for our school, that are not seen in all other schools. Some examples include, but are not limited to:-
- The Parkour Playground (funded over two fairs)
- The Discovery Centre
- The Break out room under Room 27 (which has been further enhanced by the addition of the new ‘Garden to Table’ area adjacent to it, allowing a wonderful inside to outside learning flow)
Early last year, we canvased you all to find out what future projects you would like us to consider, and a ‘Media Room’ was favoured by the majority who replied. An outfitted Media Room would allow our children to produce an in-school/ community radio-TV channel, that reports our celebrations, day to day learning and other exciting events to parents that occur during the year.
Being involved in this will allow children to develop different skills across the curriculum, as well as being able to bring alive our school values and learning dispositions through the use of digital and more traditional methods.
As some time has passed, it is important that these results still echo current feeling, so if you feel we should consider a different project please submit it here, before Wednesday 20 February. Our 2019 project, will then be formally revealed in next week’s ‘Fair Newsletter’. Whatever your final choice may be, I have no doubt that it will positively enhance the learning opportunities your children receive in the future.
