Next Tuesday the 28th August we will be running the Year 5 and Year 6 Cross Country.
The races will start and finish on the rugby league fields on Pururi Drive. The races will be two laps around a course that will be set up on the rugby grounds. Each race will be 2000m in length with each lap being 1000m. A map of the course is attached. The children have all been up to the fields to take look at the course.
The children will assemble at school at 1.00pm with the first race beginning soon after.
The race order will be:
- Year 5 Girls
- Year 5 Boys
- Year 6 Girls
- Year 6 Boys
We will require parent help to assist with the running of this event in order for the afternoon to run smoothly and for us to keep to the time limits.
The first seven finishers from each race will go on to represent the school at the Remuera Zone Cross Country Championships which will be held on Tuesday 18th September at St Kentigern College in Pakuranga.
