I am very pleased to announce the appointment this week of Thyra Compton as the teacher of our newest New Entrant class that has started in Room 7. As you are aware there is a shortage of teachers in Auckland and we are very pleased that yet again we were able to secure a qualified member of staff who we believe will fit well into our school culture. Thyra is passionate about teaching children new to school and she has a number of years experience at this level. I would like to thank Viv Quan who has yet again stepped in to help us through the short term while waiting for a teacher.
As mentioned last year we also welcome Mr Shanthan Naidu as Associate Principal
and Mr Marcus Collins as the teacher in Room 21.
I am sure you will all get a chance to meet all our new staff as the year progresses.
