It definitely is a hot return to school and it looks like this heat may be with us for a little while longer yet. Children are being reminded to hydrate throughout the day and we would like you to reinforce the importance of this at home. It is imperative that all children have hats ASAP to protect them from the sun. We are very lucky at our school to have all, bar three rooms outfitted with air conditioning units and we have arranged for those remaining rooms to be fitted out by the end of this week. We are also concerned about the hot lunch hour and have ensured children have access to 3 classes (including 2 ILE’s) around the school during this time where they can come and rest in the cool when needed. We will continue to offer this until this very hot period passes.
