Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

It was an extremely busy week last week with the Y4 Choir performing at the Town Hall as well as students from our sister school visiting.  In addition to those events another highlight had to be the Cultural Concert on Thursday night. The evening showcased the many talents in our school with so many children performing across a range of artistic domains including dance, instrumental and singing.  There were performances from our Ukulele group, Indian dance group, Junior Dance group, Senior Dance group, Orchestra, Ensemble, Rock Band, Year 3, 4 ,5 and 6 choirs, as well as our Boys Choir and a duet from two of our talented cellists.   To complete the evening we were lucky enough to experience a traditional Chinese folk dance from one of our visiting students from Ningbo.  The show highlighted how many different opportunities are being offered to our children as well as how many children actually take up one or more of those opportunities.  I would like to give a huge thanks to Linda Yu, Hannah Wynne, Caitlin Williams and Deepti Vaidya for all their wonderful work leading up to and during this show.
