ASD Dads is proud to host its annual charity event, “Run for Autism,” a powerful initiative dedicated to raising funds for children who face significant barriers in accessing speech therapy services and to support free community events for families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This inspiring event will bring together runners, families, and supporters in a day of unity, compassion, and action—all with the shared goal of improving the lives of ASD families.

Breaking Barriers to Speech Therapy
Many children with ASD experience long wait times or struggle to receive essential speech therapy due to limited government funding. Without early intervention, these children face even greater challenges in communication and social development. The Run for Autism fundraiser seeks to change this by providing financial assistance to families, ensuring that every child—regardless of financial circumstances —has access to the therapy they need.

“We understand the challenges faced by ASD families in accessing vital resources, particularly speech therapy,” says Jordan Lee Ikitule, Founder of ASD Dads. “ASD Dads is committed to alleviating some of these burdens by raising funds to directly support families in need.”

The success of the very first RUN4AUTISM event in 2024, led by our Maori/Pacific charity, was a testament to the power of community. Over 1,000 attendees came together, and as a result, 10 children were able to receive FREE speech therapy. With your support this year, we can double or even triple that number—ensuring even more children receive the life-changing help they deserve.

This year we also cast our net wide and will be hosting RUN4AUTISM in Sydney, Japan, Utah & Fiji along side Auckland!

More Than a Run – Building a Supportive Community
Beyond funding therapy, proceeds from Run for Autism will also support free community events tailored to the unique needs of ASD families. These events provide safe, inclusive spaces where families can connect, share experiences, and access essential support networks.
