Enjoy a Kid-Free Date Night in Mt Eden Village:
The Mt Eden Village Business Association is excited to offer you Free Babysitting and Children’s Activities for Kids 5+ again while you enjoy a kid-free Date Night at one of our fabulous eating places here in Mt Eden Village. Please see the list of 15 qualifying eating places below:
- Circus Circus Café, De Nada Mexican Eatery & Tequila Bar, De Post Belgian Beer Café, Frasers Café, The Garden Shed, Gina’s Italian Kitchen, Impression Chinese Restaurant, Indian Lounge Mt Eden, Katsu Bay (previously known as ZoolZool), Pasta & Cuore, Scarlett Slimms & Lucky, Sora Sake Bar, Taste of India, Wu & You and Xoong.
Our first three Date Nights for 2025 are:
- Fri 14 Feb 6.00-9.00 @ Mt Eden Village Centre (449 Mt Eden Rd)
- Fri 14 Mar 6.00-9.00 @ Mt Eden Village Centre (449 Mt Eden Rd)
- Sat 17 May 6.00-9.00 @ Mt Eden Village Centre (449 Mt Eden Rd)
The bookings for babysitting for each date night open around 3-4 weeks beforehand.
We are currently taking bookings for the night of Valentine’s Day. Get in quick!

Date Night is aimed at parents/caregivers with children aged from 5-13. Limited to 40 kids.
To register, we need kid’s name, age, emergency contact details, any food allergy/medical need information and the eating place where you will be enjoying your Date Night.

For the Parents/Caregivers:
- Date Night parents reconfirm booking at least 48 hours in advance (to allow us to finalise staffing and food).
- Date Night parents drop off children from 6.00pm and pick up before 9.00pm for Fri and Sat Date Nights. (The drop off time is from 5.30pm and pick up before 8.30pm for any Sun Date Nights).
- Please pack a bag with snacks, a water bottle, a book or device and blanket to snuggle in (in case child gets tired).
- Drop off – Parents sign kids in – double check emergency contacts and any allergies / dietary / medical information that has been provided.
- Pick up – Parents sign kids out – and provide proof of local dining eg, receipt, photo of receipt, photo of dining.
For the Kids:
The free babysitting and children’s activities will be managed by Bricks 4 Kidz which will organize different LEGO-building stations catering to various age groups and interests. This will not only keep the children engaged but also add an educational element to the evening. Pizza provided (unless allergy-restricted).
