Sujata Modak

Kia ora,
I am Sujata and am excited about starting my teaching journey at Cornwall Park District School.
I discovered my enjoyment and love for teaching while working in Primary schools, in a supportive role enabling students to meet their learning needs. This strengthened my belief in the tremendous potential of tamariki, to perform to the best of their abilities in a supportive and conducive environment. This led me to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching, in New Zealand, after formerly being trained in Social Work in India.
As a Kaiako, I eagerly look forward to creating a classroom where students feel valued, confident and are able to enjoy and celebrate their learning.
On the family front, me and my husband Anand are blessed to be parents of a son and daughter who are pursuing their respective career interests. The other things I love doing are reading, travelling, learning about different cultures and cooking new dishes.
