“Kia Ora. My name is Michelle Nayagam and it is such a privilege to be on the Board. I am a mum of 3 with 2 of my sons at the school already.
I am a Pharmacist and am passionate about communities and helping people achieve their best. My diverse upbringing in South Africa has given me different perspectives, multicultural awareness and deep appreciation for diversity. I bring enthusiasm, passion, strong communication, empathy, community focus and excellent leadership skills to the team. I want to ensure that all children have opportunities to excel and become confident young people. I am driven by success and will ensure that I do my best for you as part of the Board.
My biggest assets are my energy and passion and the warmth I bring to people and difficult situations. My role as a mum has taught me that children are diverse in their needs and abilities. Each child should be seen as an individual and given the opportunity to be their best. Our school moto Whakapau kaha – to be better than before – is a strong philosophy that I believe in. My time on the board will be spent ensuring that your child is encouraged to grow and given opportunities to make their today better than yesterday. In my spare time I enjoy movies, photography and making memories with my family”
