My name is Anthony Fong and it’s my privilege and pleasure to be on the Board of Trustees.
I am currently the Deputy Chair and very much enjoy working with our school management to provide better educational outcomes for our tamariki and whānau at CPDS.
Having been involved in education over the years through lecturing at AUT and Unitec as a Sports and Fitness Educator, the satisfaction of observing the growth of students is a wonderful gift we can pass onto our young people.
Understanding the integration of different cultures into Kiwi life is also another area of interest I have within our CPDS community. This has evolved from having had the privilege to work as a Foreign Teacher at Ocean University in Qingdao, China from 2017-2019. My family experienced what it was like to be a foreigner in a new country and learning to adapt to a different culture, language, food and outlook on life!
Contributing to our community is something I have enjoyed for many years, including roles within Eden-Epsom Play Centre, Ellerslie Soccer Club, and Auckland Zhong Shan Clan. Currently I have a daughter at CPDS and a son who has recently graduated from Cornwall Park District School.
I look forward to progressing all my skills and experiences while being part of the Board of Trustees.
