Room 15 Art Gallery Trip

On Monday the 30th of March 2020, Room 15 will be visiting the Auckland Art Gallery, as part of our Inquiry into change. In the programme offered by the gallery we will learn about how artists capture changes in our identities (such as national, cultural, personal) using a range of artistic techniques, both traditional and non-traditional. It will also give the students an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful collection of portraits at the Auckland Gallery and be able to make real life connections to the learning taking place in our classrooms.  We will be leaving school at 9 am walking to the train station, before travelling by train to Britomart. We will be back at school at approximately 2:30pm.   We request a contribution of $13.00 per child to cover the cost of the programme and the train, which can be paid through your Kindo account under the ‘Payments and Donations’ title. We understand that payment cannot be enforced, however, please appreciate that the trip is dependent on contributions being received. Therefore, we request that all payments to be made by Monday 16th March 2020, so that we can make a decision as to whether the trip can proceed or not.  If cancelled, contributions will be refunded or held over until the next activity.   We will also require parent helpers for supervision, however, due to the nature of this trip, we are unable to take preschoolers. Please respond to the question on Kindo to indicate if you are able to be a parent helper. Please note that teachers will email the parents to confirm that they are needed to supervise our trip. We kindly ask parent helpers to be at the classroom no later than 8:55 am.
