Last Thursday, our school gymnastics teams competed in the Remuera Zone competition at the Tri Star Gymnastics Club. We entered 32 gymnastics and had a very successful day.
Some of our gymnasts have made it through to the Auckland Champion of Champions competition which is being held on September 12th. To make this competition you must finish in the top eight as an individual or in the top three as a team. Well done to the following twelve gymnasts who made it:
Brooke S – 8th individual overall – Year 4 Girls
Nathan P, Theo N, Joe G, Aidan Hong – 1st team overall – Year 5 Boys
Max W, Henry W, Thomas Y – 2nd team overall – Year 6 Boys
Alyssia C, Jaime K, Sophia D, Amy B – 3rd team overall – Year 6 Girls
A big thanks must go to all of the parents who have helped coach the team on Wednesday mornings and also helped with transport to Tri Star. Thanks also to Tracey Van Delden and Rebecca Bharuchi for helping coach the teams yesterday, and finally thanks to Paul Campbell for his coaching and mangment of the teams.
