It’s Easter Sunday this weekend… and the Family Fun Fiesta the next! So lots of fun is in store – make sure you have your calendar cleared and keep your eye out for the schedule of the day including Fiesta Map and Timetable, coming out next week. We will send this home with every student.
ALL DAY PASS
Exciting news! At the Fiesta we will be selling ALL DAY wristbands, which will give children unlimited access to the rides and many of the games. This includes Bouncy Castles, Ferris Wheel, Horse Shoe Throwing, Races, Croquet etc. (Some conditions do apply). These ALL DAY wristbands will be $20, available for sale at the ticket booth on the field at the Fiesta. EFTPOS is available.
Individual tickets ($2) and lesser ticket bundles will also be available.
We have loved all the help coming in! Thank you to all the children who have given up their lunchtimes to make Lolly Necklaces, for everyone bringing in Fun Jars, and to all the amazing volunteers who have signed up. This support is amazing.
Please remember, FUN JARS can still be dropped to the office, and house points received!
There will be an online auction and quick-fire raffles happening during the morning of the Fiesta. Keep an eye out for upcoming information on these. Thank you to all our generous sponsors – and it’s not too late to get in touch if you would like to donate an item.
DONUT EATING COMPETITION
The penultimate event of the Fiesta will be the Donut Eating Competition – generously supported by Krispy Kreme. Tickets will be sold across the day – you’re going to want to find yourself a partner and save some space for this race. Donuts will be hung on a string, and competitors will race to eat it without their hands!
The grand finale of the Fiesta will be the Wheels Parade. It’s time to start planning your entry – the bigger/crazier/more creative the better! This is going to be a lot of fun for the children, and there will be spot prizes, as well as prizes for best decorated, most creative entries etc. Remember, your ‘Wheels’ entry can be anything on wheels, not just bikes.
There will be a fenced off area on the field where your Wheels item can be kept until the parade. These will be cordoned off and kept under security for the day, however there will be racks available to lock your bike/wheels to if you wish.
There will be an old-school coin trail at the Fiesta, so kids – now’s the time to start searching under those couch cushions for any spare change you can find!
CAKE and SWEETS STALL
All families should have received a cake box. We would be very grateful if you could please contribute some home baking (cakes, muffins, cupcakes, slices, cookies etc) and return it in the box. These can be brought into school on Saturday 10th, between 2-3pm, to Room 30 on the bottom courts. Alternatively, they can be dropped at Room 30 before the Fiesta begins on Sunday 11th.
Suggested recipes are available at the office or on the school website if you’re looking for inspiration. The cake stall has been very popular at school fairs over the years, so we appreciate your support of this.
If you’re unable to help with baking, please return your cake box to the office… extra boxes are also available at the office for those who would like more.
SET UP / PACK DOWN
The Fiesta Committee and volunteers will be setting up the school grounds on Saturday, 10th April, from 10am onwards. We will also be packing down immediately following the event, from 2pm onwards on Sunday 11th. If you can spare any time on either day, we would be grateful for your help. Many hands make light work!
You can let us know via email email@example.com OR simply show up if you find yourself with nothing to do.
We are also still taking volunteers if you’d like to help with a stand on the day, please get in touch. firstname.lastname@example.org
