Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

DISCO

Last Friday, the Friends and Family of CPDS held the ‘Annual School Disco’.  This was a great milestone in a year where so many events have not been possible. The theme was ‘Glow in the Dark’ and I must say some of the costumes were very impressive, not to mention the dancing.  It would not have been possible without all the work behind the scenes from Katie Stokes and her band of parents who helped in the lead up and also on the night in the tuck shop, as security and selling the very popular goodies.  Thank you so much.

I would also like to acknowledge Steven Mills for being the school champion of the event, and Erin Lingard for her wonderful MCing of both the Junior and Senior discos.  It was also great to see so many parents and teachers who joined in the fun, along with the children.  The event raised just over $2,000 which is a great result in a year when fundraising has been a challenge for our Friends and Family.

Kind regards
Janine
