Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Sunday 6 September to Saturday 12 September.

Malo e Lelei – Welcome to Tongan Language Week 2020
Click here to watch a video featuring Vai and Sophie, to tell you all about it. This was filmed by Caden and Calem.
Parents:
All children are welcome to wear Tongan dress on Friday.  We have kept it fairly low key this year, as we can’t have guests, nor can we have an assembly. Our students are adapting to different ways of celebrating this year in this challenging time of Covid restrictions.
Our Tongan group meets once a week on Thursdays, with Mrs. Fa’anunu supporting the group.
So far our senior children have done really well coming up with ideas to promote the Tongan culture and they have shown leadership skills in organising activities this week, and teaching our junior students.
We look forward to continuing to celebrate Tongan Language Week throughout this week.
Just to recap:
Tongan clothes-on Friday. (Please note this is not a general mufti day!)
The Tongan Group will be having food/drink at Friday lunchtime 12.30 p.m. in the Discovery Centre. (Food will be supplied)
Children are creating videos during the week and will be uploading these for you to view on the school and CPDS Music websites.
‘Ofa atu /Kind regards
Francine
