Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Next week, teachers from around New Zealand will be attending paid union meetings in order to review and then vote on the latest offer that has been made by the government.  Our teachers have worked together to see how they can attend different meetings that are offered, while also ensuring that we have enough teachers on site at all times to adequately cover our school.

Therefore,  next week, there is a high possibility that your child may have to move to another class / or welcome children into their class on Tuesday and or Thursday, while teachers attend a meeting that will take a maximum of two hours. We have attempted our best to keep these interruptions to a minimum.

I thank you for your ongoing understanding of this and want to reassure you that our teachers are committed to ensuring that the quality of children’s education in NZ, stays the focus of what they are fighting for.

Kind regards
Janine
