Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

It has been a very busy week for sport here at school. On Monday our Aces and Blues played in the Year 5/6 basketball competition at St Kentigern School. The Aces had a great 44-2 win and the Blues had a last minute come from behind win 13-12. It was very exciting.

On Tuesday our Netball, Rugby, Hockey and Soccer teams travelled to College Rifles and Meadowbank Primary School to play Meadowbank in a sport exchange. All of the games were played in a great spirit and everyone had lots of fun. A special mention must go to our rugby team who had their first win of the season 7 tries to 2.

Next Tuesday our Soccer, Rugby and Hockey teams will be walking to Dilworth Junior School to play against Dilworh and Pt England Schools.

Our rugby team had an impressive win at our weekly Tuesday sports afternoon. Mrs Burns was most impressed with the team’s ability to bounce back after last week’s defeat. Our team scored 7 tries to the opposition’s 2. Well done on your win and more importantly tenacity and willingness to be “better than before”. I look forward to following your progress through the term.
