Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Constable Jude came to our class and taught us about how we can be safe when we cross the road. We learnt to Stop, look, listen before we use our feet. Then we went outside to have a real life experience. We need to keep to the house side when we walk down the road.

We looked both ways as we crossed.

We practised crossing the road by ourselves and used the skill we had learnt.

When we walk down the road we need to look down driveways and towards the road using our senses of sight, hear and smell to check for signs of vehicles.

We returned to school being more wise about keeping ourselves safe when we are walking down the road.
