Paddy Flavell is a practitioner of Traditional Maori performing arts, Kapa Haka. She has has represented New Zealand internationally performing in Abu Dhabi, Rarotonga, Australia, Singapore and Indonesia. A valued member of Manu Huia and now Waka Huia, one of the top Kapa Haka groups in New Zealand.
She teaches Te reo Māori me ona tikanga at Cornwall Park District School, which gives her much joy.
“To see and hear children speaking and loving Māori language is so rewarding. My greatest passion is to share Māori culture with the youth of today, so that with a little guidance it can flourish for future generations.”
