CPDS is a great school that provides many wonderful and unique opportunities for our children. I want to see every family tap into everything CPDS has to offer and ensure their children get the most out of their primary school years.
My background is in law and policy with expertise in governance, law, strategic leadership and problem solving. I began my career as a commercial lawyer at Russell McVeagh and then as a public policy analyst, with a focus on education policy, at an independent think tank. I currently sit on the Boards of The Parenting Pace, Maxim Institute and Tax Traders Limited. I also spent six years as an elected representative on a local Community Board and gained excellent experience in dealing with Auckland Council and other external stakeholders.
My husband Josh and I have three children aged nine, seven and four with our middle child Violet being in Year 3 at CPDS. Josh and I are very involved in school life, helping in the classroom, with the School Fair, with Champions, coaching a netball team and being part of the Kapa Haka family. I have also been happy to help assist the Board of Trustees and school leadership with specific matters in the past. I have a good ability to navigate complex situations and bring people together on an issue.
I am committed to continuing to strengthen the relationship between school and parents to ensure there is a strong school community where parents feel welcome at school and happy to provide input. I am proud of the high academic standards we achieve and keen to see these continue. I am committed to seeing that all students receive the support they need to flourish and that our vulnerable learners and their families are well supported by the school and community.
