Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

I am delighted to be teaching the new entrant children in Room 22 this term and to be sharing this role with Vicki Hartstonge. Together, we look forward to helping the children develop a love of learning, make new friends and thrive as they begin their school life at Cornwall Park School.

My family has had a long association with Cornwall Park School – 17 years in fact. My three children attended Cornwall Park School, two of whom are now at University, with my youngest entering Year 13 next year at Epsom Girls Grammar.

In my earlier career I taught in Hawkes Bay and then in South Auckland before leaving the profession to be a full time mum. I re-entered the workforce, teaching at Cornwall Park School in a relieving capacity when my youngest child was in Year 2.   From 2011 – 2012, I taught Year One with Fiona Rodgers. I have opened a New Entrant class each year since 2013 except last year when I was overseas.

My family love to escape to Cooks Beach in the Coromandel, where we go for long walks, catch up with friends and family and get out on the water.
