Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Kia ora whānau, my name is Lisa Rolle and I began teaching at CPDS over 10 years ago. Teaching Year 1 and 2 students in a job-share situation was a  fantastic way to spend 7 of those years.

In 2016 I embarked on a new career path and have had the opportunity to encourage language learning in the school.  Celebrating cultures and language is a passion of mine. As part of my personal development, I am learning Mandarin and enjoy introducing Year 2 students to this language.  I work with groups of students to support their Writing journeys.   I also have the privilege of running the CPDS Eureka! programmes.  These sessions provide extension and support for students who need it.  The final part of my job is to support and challenge the University students who are on placement at our school, as well as their Associate Teachers. I also oversee the Provisionally Certified Teacher Programme in the school, and offer support to Tutor teachers and their beginning teachers.  It is marvelous to work with such a range of ages and variety of learners.
