Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

I joined the staff of CPDS 6 years ago and am privileged to work with a collaborative office team, dedicated teachers and a conscientious management team. Many years ago I began my working life as a primary school teacher in West Auckland. After raising our two children I was offered a part time job in the office of a local school and found this to be to my liking. Over the years apart from a brief sojourn into real estate administration I’ve worked in school offices. As part of the office team at CPDS my main responsibilities are the receipting and assigning of student payments, the ordering of stationery and resource items for staff and the matching of these orders with corresponding invoices. The methodical nature and attention to detail that these tasks require give me much satisfaction. I am married to Bruce and we have two children are aged 23 and 26. Our children are both currently living and travelling extensively overseas and we are thankful to have strong connections with our extended families. In the weekends you will often find me relaxing in our caravan which is permanently located at Muriwai Beach on Auckland’s west coast. Boogie boarding in the surf, walking in the bush or along the beach or just soaking up the sun listening to Hawaiian music are activities I find very restorative.
