Kia Ora Koutou,
Ko Kim Jones tōku ingoa
Ko Ngāti Kahungunu tōku iwi
Ko Ngāruroro tōku awa
Ko Takitimu tōku waka
Ko Kahuranaki tōku maunga
Tēnā koutou, Tēnā koutou, Tēnā ra koutou katoa.
Hello, My name is Kim Jones. Ngāti Kahungunu (Hawkes Bay) is my iwi. The Ngaruroro is my river. Tākitimu is my waka and Kahurānaki is my mountain. Greetings to you all. I’m the teacher of our beautiful new entrant and Year 1 students in Room 1. I am very new to Auckland as I recently moved here in September last year, so far I am absolutely loving the Auckland life. I have a passion for the arts as my background is in performing arts, specialising in cultural and contemporary dance. Later in the year when the students are very well settled into school, I will be running a Pasifika group. I can’t wait to get this started and look forward to unleashing some hidden talents amongst the students here at CPDS.
Nga mihi
Whaea Kim
