Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

My association with CPDS began in 1993 when my son started school. Shortly after that I began relief teaching and also taking small groups of children for ESOL lessons. Before this I had taught in schools in both the North and South Island. I have been privileged to work with an amazing staff over the years. I presently work with Linda Yu taking ESOL classes and together we provide a happy non- threatening environment where children are happy to take risks with their learning. Our combined strengths ensure a successful programme. I am continually inspired by my students who arrive with no English and yet in a few years some are collecting prizes on Flag Day. I totally believe in my students and their potential. My free time is spent going for walks in our park, enjoying good food with family and friends and visiting art galleries. There is at least one visit to Sydney each year to visit our son. My husband and I hope to do more overseas travel in the future.
