Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

Kia Ora, ko Adele Hatton toku ingoa. I am the Kahu Whanau leader and a Yr 3/4  teacher at Cornwall Park District School. I have had a long and varied career in the educational sector, teaching students of all ages, from the new entrant level up to pre-service teachers at the tertiary level of education. I am passionate about children’s learning and am inspired by the curiosity and endeavour shown by our students at Cornwall Park District School. On my weekends, I love to go to the beach and take our labra-poodle for long walks while my son and partner surf. My focus on family connection is important to how I view participation in the classroom, team and school whanau. Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi, with your food basket and my food basket the people will thrive. This whakatauki acknowledges that everybody has something to offer, a piece of the puzzle, and by working together we can all flourish.
