Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

What a fantastic week of literacy celebrated at our school. We had parents, staff and learners visiting our library every day making purchases and browsing the various books. Throughout the week we had visitors running literacy quizzes, young authors informing our learners about becoming writers, illustrators, and authors. Pyjama night was an absolute treat, the themed rooms had wonderful storytellers, that kept the students and parents entertained. Another highlight was the character parade, a wonderful effort made by all our learners and teachers to dress as their favourite book character, there were some weird and wonderful creations on display. I will have to acknowledge the dedicated effort and amazing organisation by Nicki Boswell, our school librarian for being incredibly passionate about book week and ensuring the week was enjoyed and celebrated by our entire school community. THANK YOU!!
