Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.
Last week, eight Year 6 students took part in a series of creative writing workshops at the National Library in Parnell.  They were; Caitlin W, Ella K., Braydon R., Patrick T., Mae W., Oscar A., Imogen P. and Olivia McF.
‘Speed date an author’  is organised by the NZ  Book Council and offers students an opportunity to be involved in  workshops with different authors,  learning about different aspects of the creative process. The feedback from the entire group was that it was both challenging and inspiring.

A huge thanks must go to Joanne and Zayden Robertson for accompanying this group.  Joanne’s feedback was that having the chance to browse the shelves of the National Library was an absolute highlight for her, and an opportunity she is glad not to have missed.
We are hoping that CPDS will again be invited to take part in this annual event.
