Whakapau kaha – to be better than before.

What an amazing show!  This Prom was held last Saturday afternoon to help fundraise for the end of year orchestra trip to Tauranga and the talent on show was amazing from the beginning with our very own orchestra reforming right through to the second part of the show, where a number of outstanding ex-pupils demonstrated how a talent nurtured at CPDS during the primary school years can continue to develop as you move through Intermediate and High School and as young adults. Thank you so much to Claudia and Grace Bridger, and Ashleigh Yu who joined forces with our very own music tutor Gunhwi to perform a couple of impressive jazz numbers, Ian Chiao who wowed us on violin with the piece he has played at Carnagie Hall and Emily Robinson who sang a couple of show numbers.  It was clear why Emily continues to be chosen to play major parts in National Youth Theatre productions.  A huge well done also to all our current pupils who did a great job presenting all of their individual and collective talents. Finally a huge thank you to Linda Yu for co-ordinating this great event and a special thank you to all the wonderful parents who have helped in a variety of ways.
